Executive leadership supports continuity of RiseSmart’s global strategy

SAN JOSE, Calif., December 5, 2017 — RiseSmart, the leading provider of contemporary career transition services, announced today that Co-founder and EVP of Global Operations, Dan Davenport, will assume the role of RiseSmart’s president and general manager. Sanjay Sathé, the company’s founder, CEO and president, is transitioning the company leadership to Davenport to guide the RiseSmart team in its next chapter of growth, ensuring continuity of strategy and momentum as a leader in contemporary outplacement solutions.

Prior to serving as RiseSmart’s EVP of global operations, Davenport, then SVP of operations and finance, was named 2016 CFO of the year by Silicon Valley Business Journal based on his exceptional leadership, insight and judgment. Davenport has been with the company for over ten years and currently oversees RiseSmart’s delivery organization, global operations and global partnerships. As the company’s president and general manager, he will carry RiseSmart’s mission, innovation excellence, and global opportunities forward.

Sanjay Sathé, who founded RiseSmart over a decade ago, will move on from his role as CEO and president. His vision of addressing the inefficiencies of traditional outplacement quickly disrupted the career transition industry and landed RiseSmart on Deloitte’s Technology Fast500 companies list with 453% revenue growth. “We have brought accountability for results to a service not typically known for outcome or ROI,” said Sathé. “It has paid off in a big way.”

Under Sathé’s leadership, RiseSmart achieved key milestones, including:

  • Effectuated the acquisition for $100 million by Randstad Holding in 2015 to facilitate global, long-term growth and market dominance.
