Outplacement Leader RiseSmart Welcomes Vinod Damodaran As Its Vice President of Engineering

RiseSmart, the leading provider of next-generation outplacement solutions, has named former Symphony Services senior vice president of technology Vinod Damodaran its vice president of engineering. Damodaran brings to RiseSmart his 25 years of experience and a solid track record of turning marketing visions into successful products.

Damodaran worked closely at Symphony Services with client Jobvite, a leader in recruiting software with more than 800 customers and some 5 million users. He headed the modernization of Jobvite’s SaaS-based hiring platform, creating U.S. and offshore teams and handpicking their leaders. Preaching test-driven development, he created agile development processes highlighted by three-week “sprints.”

Symphony Services recognized Damodaran as the Top Leader of the Year-Technology for his contributions proposing technology solutions and roadmaps to clients as well as playing a key role in helping clients develop onshore and offshore operations.

Before his tenure at Symphony Services, Damodaran held senior-level positions at various firms in the technology and engineering space in Silicon Valley, including CXO Systems, i2 Technologies/Aspect Development and Digital Tools, where he was a founding engineer. Damodaran holds a bachelors degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology as well as a post-graduate diploma in software technology from NSCT in Bombay.
